Moving to Milan #2 | Furniture and stuff you will need

Hey! It's ben a while since my last update, and that's because I was busy with my relocation.
Now that I'm definitely moved, I can update my diary about my new life here in Milan.

Once you find your apartment, it's really important for you to focus on what you will need.
Of course if you decided to rent an apartment furnished you will have an advantage: but don't think that you won't need anything else, because you definitely will.
There are so many things that you need to live, and I'm not talking about dress, food and a toilet. I'm talking about all those little thing that you don't think about until you don't have them.

We made a list of stuff we had to buy, divided by room. For example, we made a list of things that you usually use in the kitchen, and then we began to go in house shops, like IKEA and similar, and look what the cost was. If you have relatives who can help you, it's a big advantage. My aunt gave me a blender, my grandma gave me some cups and cutlery, and so on. Of course you can't acquire everything, but I think that talking about your plan to move can be very helpful if you need stuff. Also your friends can help you a lot, by suggesting things or giving you something.

My word of advice is to wait until your friends and relatives have given you everything they can, and only then you can go and buy things. For example, we hurried up too much and we bought some towels months ago: now we have an entire piece of furniture full of towels.
Don't think that you will need a few money, because I can guarantee these things, even if little or cheap, will cost you a lot. And I'm talking only about the essential, things you can't stay without!

The last thing I want to talk about is the work you will have to do in your new house before you can definitely move in.
You need to know if the house is dirty, you should ask someone for help, and you should count 2-3 days to clean and sanitize everything, before you can bring your stuff there. I rented a very dirty house, and I needed some help, so I asked my mum to come with me some days before the permanent relocation. I can say that without her (and my aunt, who decided to come in order to help us) I would be stuck here cleaning the house!
